CONSTRUCTION OR MOTIVE
Trades Sampler Construction - Trade Sampler Motive - Grades 10 - 12
Central Okanagan Public Schools and Okanagan College are partnering together to deliver trades exploration programs to assist students in their career exploration while learning valuable construction, technology, and motive skills. Students will have the opportunity to sample various trade occupations (Construction sampler - Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, Sheet Metal and MOTIVE sampler - Aircraft Maintenance, Autobody Collison repair, Heavy Mechanical/Automotive trades) that are currently in demand in BC through hands on learning opportunities. » Participants will attend part time in second semester (every second day) » Be better prepared to transition to a Dual Credit Program in Grade 12. » Explore Careers in the Construction trades. » Earn up to 12 graduation credits

Three options: Option 1: Earn 2 credits » 15 hours of online coursework + 1 week volunteering at Camp OC Option 2: Earn 4 credits » 15 hours of online coursework + 2 weeks volunteering at Camp OC Option 3: Earn Hours » Volunteer at Camp OC and earn work experience hours toward graduation Learn leadership fundamentals, communication and conflict resolution strategies and teamwork skills - all while making a difference in your community!
